New paper in PETS

Our paper Genome Reconstruction Attacks Against Genomic Data-Sharing Beacons is accepted to the proceedings of the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium 2021. In this work, we show that it is possible to reconstruct the genome of a victim by exploiting beacon system updates. We further show that this information can be used to perform membership inference attacks agains beacon systems which are associated with sensitive phenotypes.
