We attended ISMB/ECCB 2025 Conference organized in Liverpool, UK! We had two oral and one poster presentation this year. Mehmet Alper Yılmaz from our group presented our proceedings paper on detecting copy number variations on ancient DNA samples in the HitSeq session on July 24. This is joint work with Arda Ceylan from our group and Gün Kaynar who is a graduate from our group.

Ercument gave a talk on RNAtranslator; our recent language model to design protein-binding RNA for virtually any protein. The talk will take place in the iRNA session on July 24. This is the result of a great effort of our current/former students Sobhan Shukueian, Helyasadat Aghdam and Sina Barazandeh.

Finally, we had a poster presentation (C-335) on DeepSynba; our deep learning model to predict dose-response profiles in synergistic drug combination detection led by our recent PhD graduate Halil İbrahim Kuru and Haoting Zhang. This was a collaboration with Magnus Rattray, Oznur Tastan and Marta Milo.
